CDT Test in serum by UV/VIS-FAST -MONOREAG. (100 µl)

At the end of the 1970s, it was demonstrated that there was a correlation between excessive alcohol consumption and increased concentrations of transferrin at low glycosylation levels (CDT). Thus CDT is a marker of chronic alcohol abuse. Both asialo and disialo transferrin are clearly correlated to chronic alcohol consumption, even though showing different grades of sensitivity and specificity. However, the IFCC group has identified disialotransferrin as the target analyte for CD.

Principle Of The Method

The serum is complexed with the appropriate reagent and injected in the HPLC system after centrifugation using a binary gradient pump (page.6). The kit has been validated with the IFCC Standards, demonstrating good accuracy by integrating with baseline.
